Finally Google unveils it’s first branded tablet Nexus 7 tablet and Google Inc will sell it’s first tablet from mid-july. Google entered into the tablet market with Google Nexus 7 tablet. Forrester analyst James McQuivey said that the Nexus 7 may not boast the technical specifications of market dominating Apple iPad, therefore it is the right path for Google to take.
“Learning a lesson from Amazon, Google can see that the only way to beat the premium level iPad is to go for the millions of customers who are always ready for smaller and cheaper tablets, then grow those customers into more Android power devices, and more importantly Google powered services such as Google play” that’s all what he said.
Now let’s we talk about the tablet which runs on the latest edition of the company’s mobile operating system Android 4.1 and it is powered by quad-core Tegra 3 processor and 12-core GPU. It measures a 7 inch high definition display and a 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution.
However, the lower cost does equal lower memory thats why it comes with only 8 GB and 16 GB models, but there is no micro SD card for extra storage. It has a 1.2 mega pixel front camera and a microphone for video calling, as well as near-field communications (NFC) technology for Android Beam, allowing contacts and content sharing by tapping devices together. It also features built in HDMI for using with other screens. The tablet also has Wi-Fi connectivity only rather than having 3G or 4G option.
